NLEX proposes trade with Phoenix

A trade proposal between the NLEX Road Warriors and the Phoenix Fuel Masters was submitted for approval to the Philippine Basketball Association office on Wednesday, September 11.

In the proposed deal, NLEX will send Ato Ular and a second-round pick in the PBA Season 51 Draft to Phoenix in exchange for Javee Mocon.

Ular, a 6-foot-5 native of Tarlac City, was traded to NLEX in February of this year.

“We are thankful for Ato’s time with NLEX. Although it was brief, he brought energy to our practices and games,” said NLEX Road Warriors team governor Ronald Dulatre.

“We wish him nothing but the best in his journey with Phoenix,” Dularte added.

Once approved, Mocon will reunite with Robert Bolick, his former San Beda teammate. Together, they led San Beda to NCAA seniors basketball titles in Seasons 92, 93, and 94.
