The Philippine women’s football team took a 0-3 setback to South Korea in one of their international friendlies on Friday night at the Incheon Sports Complex in South Korea.
The Korean scored late goals inside the last 17 minutes of the contest, which serves as the Filipinas’ first international match of the year.
Choe Yu-Ri knocked in the first goal with a right-footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom left corner in the 73rd minute.
Three minutes later, Ji So-Yun slammed in a free kick, off a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner.
In the 88th minute, Jang Sel-Gi’s left footer shot found its mark from close range to the center of the goal.
The Filipinas’ offensive line was led by one of their elite scorers, Sarina Bolden, who made an attempt from the right side, and missed in the 70th.
