There’s no doubt in Joshua “The Passion” Pacio’s mind that he’s more than ready to reclaim his ONE Strawweight MMA World Title come ONE 166: Qatar at Lusail Sports Arena on March 1.And a big reason for that is the training camp that he’s had, feeling that he has gotten a chance to work with the best of the best for his rematch against reigning champion Jarred “The Monkey God” Brooks.“I’m just focused right now. I’m so blessed that everything I need to prepare for this fight was provided by God,” he said.Aside from being guided by Eduard “Landslide” Folayang and coaches Don Collas and Gibran Langbayan in the Lions Nation MMA camp, Pacio’s confidence is also hinged on the external support that he has gotten in this buildup.Vince Loman, the brother of bantamweight contender Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, extended a helping hand in Pacio’s strength and conditioning, while decorated jiu jitsu fighter Godwin Langbayan also shared his knowledge on the mat.But in Pacio’s mind, the biggest addition is Peter Miller, the nutritionist of ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan “The General” Haggerty and ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion “The Kicking Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo9, who has helped him monitor everything that he’s taking in the leadup to the match.“I need to be ready, so I have to go there with the right strength, right work, and right nutrition and we put our trust in them up until the fight day,” he said.Having these changes, to Pacio, are essential as he seeks to be at his best once he steps inside the ONE Circle in Qatar.“I’m thinking of a lot of things last time, but now I’m just focused and I’m motivated to get this win in the rematch,” he said.
