Returning import Shaun Glover propelled the Blackwater Elite Bossings past Phoenix Super LPG, 108-105, for their first win in the 2023 Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup, Friday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
The 6’7” Glover knocked in 10 of his team-high 31 points in the final period as the Bossings bounced back from their 102-124 loss to the NLEX Road Warriors.

“Just playing 48 minutes with this team, and adjust to the new players and with intensity is a challenge,” said Glover.
The Bossings scored seven of 10 charities in the remaining 33 seconds, with Glover converting the last one in the last six seconds.
They turned to the free throw line after Glover’s jumper in the 1:17 mark and JVee Casio’s jumper with 43 ticks left allowed the Bossings to move ahead, 101-98.
“I challenged the guys to be tougher today, Shaun included. The guys like Jvee and the other new guys are still adjusting,” said Bossings coach Ariel Vanguardia.
Baser Amer scored 17 points for the Bossings, with his freebie in the last 18 seconds, allowing them to stay in front, 105-101.
DuVaughn Maxwell banged in 37 points for the Fuel Masters, who fell to their second straight loss.
