LEBRON James of the Cleveland Cavaliers won’t be pushing through with his third visit in Manila.
His sponsor, Nike, said in a statement that logistical issues were the reason behind this.
“Due to logistical challenges Nike has made the difficult decision to cancel the Manila portion of LeBron James’ Asia tour,” according to the statement.
James was supposed to have a meet and greet with fans on Friday evening.
Nike organized the “Battle the Doubt Night” event at the Araneta Coliseum before the cancellation.
James was scheduled to lead the “Battle of the Doubt Bootcamp,” a one-day basketball camp featuring professional Nike coaches and athletes.
James was also set to inspire Filipino fans and basketball players to conquer their doubts the way he did on the way to winning for Cleveland its first major sports championship in 52 years.
