JORDAN Clarkson is back home.

The Filipino-American guard of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association arrived last night to attend several basketball activities over the weekend.

The 6’5” spitfire’s weekend stay in the country will be highlighted by his appearance today as a special guest in Nike’s unveiling of the new Smart Gilas Pilipinas jersey.

The jersey that will be showcased in Shangri-La Global City in Taguig this afternoon will be the one that Gilas Pilipinas will use in the coming FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament this July.

With Clarkson as guest, the entire Smart Gilas squad, including naturalized import Andray Blatche, who already arrived last night as well, will spearhead the event.

National coach Tab Baldwin will likewise be at the event.

Right after the jersey event, the Nationals will turn their game faces on as they plunge right back to training with a scheduled night practice.

Clarkson may also attend Gilas’ training to have a glimpse of the team’s development.

This is Clarkson’s third visit in his home country since last year.

A free agent this coming July in the NBA, Clarkson expects to receive a lucrative deal from the Lakers following a stellar sophomore season.

Clarkson, an endorser of Nike, and his crew are set to leave on Monday.
