Solenn Heussaff is drawing a firm line when it comes to technology at home, saying her daughters will not have mobile phones until they are adults.
During her guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Solenn shared that Thylane and Maëlys are growing up without personal gadgets.
“Di ako nag-g-gadget sa kanila. Their first phone will be maybe at 18 or 19. Sana. iPad, I don’t want,” she said.
Solenn explained that the rule comes from her growing concern over how devices affect attention and connection. She said it frustrates her to see families together but glued to screens.
“I get so frustrated because it is so sad, like this is what we’ve become,” she said.
She also spoke about what she called constant overstimulation driven by technology.
“They are trying to make us overstimulated… The attention span of the people nowadays, I feel like it’s really sad.”
Reflecting on her own upbringing, Solenn described herself as part of a “transition generation.”
“We’re the transition generation. We went from no phones to having everything at the tip of your fingers with AI pa lalo ngayon.”
Solenn, who married Nico Bolzico in 2016, welcomed Thylane in 2020 and Maëlys in 2022.
