‘CATS’ at SM malls in Bulacan

Movie-lovers in Bulacan need not go to Metro Manila to watch CATS, one of the longest-running Broadway musicals. The movie is now showing at all SM Mall cinemas in SM City Marilao, San Jose Del Monte, and Baliwag.

’Cats,’ one of the longest-running Broadway shows, is finally in theaters.
The silver screen adaptation of CATS features a stellar cast of actors and musicians that include Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson, Jason Derulo, James Corden, and Idris Elba. It also highlights Andrew Lloyd Webber’s original music for Broadway Musical and Hamilton’s Andy Blankenbuehler’s new choreography.

Directed by Tom Hooper, the film revolves around the lives of the “Jellicle cats”, who congregate under a moonlight for an annual affair, the Jellicle Ball. Old Deuteronomy (played by Judi Dench), the wise leader of the pack, must pick only the most deserving cat to earn the coveted reward of ascending to a little piece of heaven called The Heaviside Layer. The chosen cat will be reborn into a new Jellicle life.

Debuting new Broadway songs including “Beautiful Ghosts,” the film is reimagined for the new generation of viewers with its spectacular production design, state-of-the-art technology, and dance styles ranging from classical ballet to contemporary such as hip-hop, jazz, street to tap dance.

The whole family can now have the chance to see the famous musical stage CATS in local cinemas around Bulacan.
