Streaming platform Netflix announced on Thursday that the highly anticipated South Korean drama, “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” starring IU and Park Bo-gum, is premiering on March 7.
In a trailer posted on Netflix’s social media platforms, IU is introduced as Ae-sun, a “remarkable rebel,” while Bo-gum takes on the role of Gwan-sik, dubbed the “unyielding iron.”
The series boasts an impressive creative team, with writer Lim Sang-choon, known for the award-winning 2019 drama When the Camellia Blooms, and director Kim Won-suk, who collaborated with IU in the critically acclaimed My Mister.
IU is known for her notable roles in “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” and “Hotel Del Luna.” Meanwhile, Bo-gum has starred in hit Korean series “Love in the Moonlight” and “Record of Youth.”
