QCFC announces film lineup for QCinema Project Market 2024

The Quezon City Film Commission (QCFC) has announced the Filipino and Southeast Asian film projects selected for the second edition of the QCinema Project Market (QPM) 2024.

The selected projects by Filipino filmmakers include Anak Alon (Daughters of the Sea) by Marika Ramirez Escobar and Rajiv Idnani, Molder by Kenneth Dagatan, Junxiang Huang, and Bradley Liew, My Neighbor the Gangster by Mario Cornejo, Coreen Jimenez, and Jon Romulo, Bato Bato Sa Langit Ang Tamaan Magagalit (Heaven Help Us) by Eve Baswel and John Torres, Baradero (A Ship of Fools) by Keith Deligero and Gale Osorio, Golden by Jaime Habac Jr., Omar Sortijas, and Catsi Catalan, and Lihim Na Luha (Secret Cries) by Eileen Cabiling, Darlene Malimas, and Jericho Rosales.

Other selected projects include Inahing Baka (Mother Maybe) by Sonny Calvento, Arden Rod Condez, and Sheron Dayoc, Please Bear With Me by Gabriela Serrano, Gale Osorio, and Keith Deligero, Angel De Dios by Joel Ruiz and Madonna Tarrayo, Hum by Don Eblahan, Hannah Schierbeek, and Alemberg Ang, Ewa (Eve) by Keith Sicat and Sari Dalena, and The Returning by Wil Manalang, Atsuko Hirayanagi, and Eiko Mizuno-Gray.

Meanwhile, the Southeast Asian projects are The Beer Girl in Yangon by Sein Lyan Tun and Yulia Bhara from Myanmar and Indonesia, respectively, Picturehouse by Minh-Nghiem Nguyen-Vo and Johann Chapelan from Vietnam, Future Laobans by Maung Sun and Emmanuel Angeles from Laos, To Leave, To Stay by Danech San and Daniel Mattes from Cambodia, Other People’s Dreams by Daniel Hui, Tan Si En, and Joel Neo from Singapore, The Passport by Ananth Subramaniam and Choo Mun Bel from Malaysia, and I’ll Smile in Septemberby Fran Borgia and Aakash Chhabra from Singapore and India, respectively.

The QPM 2024 will be held from Nov. 14 to 16 at the Novotel, Araneta Center, QC, as part of the 12th QCinema International Film Festival.
