Universal Pictures has released a teaser for ‘Wicked,’ the highly anticipated live action film based on the Broadway hit musical of the same name, which was also adapted from Gregory Maguire’s novel ‘Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West’ (1995).

The film is directed by Jon M. Chu from a screenplay by Winnie Holzman and Stephen Schwartz, who had also written the stage play for the musical. Production sound mixer Simon Hayes, who previously worked on the film adaptation of ‘Les Misérables,’ had also worked alongside Chu as the vocals for musical numbers were recorded live on the set.

Other stars for the film who will be playing supporting roles include Award-winning Actress Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Jonathan Bailey, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, and Keala Settle.
