GMA Network, in a video previewing its upcoming lineup, announced the return of the action-comedy series Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis, starring actor and politician Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr.
The show, a remake of the 1994 film, enjoyed success as a series in 2023, with Revilla reprising his role as Bartolome “Bart/Tolome” Reynaldo. The cast includes Beauty Gonzalez as Gloria Hernando-Reynaldo and Max Collins as Elizabeth “Elize/Puso” Riego De Dios.
The story follows Bartolome, a dedicated police officer on a mission to rescue his kidnapped wife, Elizabeth, unveiling a web of secrets. The series beautifully blends action and comedy, grounded by Gloria’s steadfast support. Congresswoman Lani Mercado, the original Gloria, personally selected Beauty for the pivotal role.
In another development, Senator Bong Revilla surges into the Magic 6 in the latest 2025 senatorial preference survey conducted by OCTA Research.
The survey, conducted between Dec.10 and 14, 2023, showcases a remarkable climb from the ninth position in the previous quarter.
Expressing gratitude, Revilla attributes this achievement to the enduring trust of the Filipino people and acknowledges the positive outcomes of his legislative endeavors.
The three-term senator has been continuously championing the passage of meaningful legislation that would benefit different sectors. He is the principal author of Senate Bill No. 2028, popularly known as “Revilla Bill”, which seeks to expand the coverage of Republic Act No. 10868 or the “Centenarians Act of 2016” to elders who are also reaching the age of 80 and 90. The measure has been approved by both Houses and is just awaiting the President’s signature.
Revilla is also the principal author of Senate Bill No. 1964 or the “Kabalikat sa Pagtuturo Act” which aims to institutionalize the annual teaching allowance being received by public school teachers. Revilla made the teaching allowance permanent and also increased it to P7,500 for S.Y. 2025-2026 and to P10,000 for S.Y. 2026-2027, from its current amount of P5,000.
Moreover, together with Senate President Juan Miguel F. Zubiri, Revilla is also pushing for a legislated P150 across-the-board daily wage increase. He has been pushing for a legislated wage hike since his first term in the upper chamber.
“We will never waste the immense trust our fellow countrymen have placed in us. I will continue to strive to serve each one by extending assistance and advocating for the necessary laws to improve the lives of everyone. I will not squander the mandate given to me by the Filipino nation,” Revilla said in the vernacular.
During his previous terms in the Senate, the solon passed several crucial laws that positively affected the lives of many Filipinos. These include the Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009 (RA 10054), Grant of Night Differential Pay to Government Employees (RA 11701), and the Permanent Validity of the Certificates of Live Birth, Death, and Marriage Act (RA 11909), among others.
