GMA Artist Center star Mika dela Cruz represented GMA Network during the annual Araw ng Pagbasa on Nov. 27 at Quirino Elementary School in Quezon City.
Mika inspired the pupils with her well-internalized and comprehensive way of reading the life story of GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon entitled, Kapuso Mo, Atty. Felipe Gozon.
Mika felt even more comfortable as the students were devoted in answering all her questions. “The kids were very attentive to the story and were engaged to reflect on its lessons. It made me feel good that I was effective in storytelling,” Mika said.
One thing that the Kapuso star can take from the experience is that the next generation is already geared up for a brighter future. “I’m glad that I had the chance to do this with the students, kasi I was able to see how children think nowadays. This advocacy does not only help students develop their love for learning, but also to be inspired by our fellow Filipinos through reading,” Mika shared.
