Sometimes the past must stay in the past.

This is how Anthony Rosaldo summarizes the message of his latest single, “Tama Na,” where he recalls a precious memory with a former lover.

Anthony Rosaldo recalls an old flame with self-penned single ‘Tama Na’
Anthony debuted in 2016 when he joined ‘Eat Bulaga's’ segment ‘Spogify Feat. Singing Baes.’

“I revisited a memory—my breakup with an ex-girlfriend—and that became my inspiration. We loved each other, but our lives were going in opposite directions, and we could no longer grow together, that’s why we had to end the relationship and let each other go,” says Anthony.

The song came about when Anthony was driving back to Manila after his Ang Dalawang Ikaw taping in Tagaytay, where he played as Chris. A melody got stuck in his head, and that became a sign to compose his first song. Now, the song has already landed the top spot on iTunes Philippines’ chart.

“It was a three-hour drive. I recorded the melody on my phone, and when I got home, I sat and dove into my creative mood,” he shares.

Produced by Rocky Gacho and music arranged by Simon Tan,  the song “Tama Na” was released under GMA Playlist.

“When I sing, people get to know me more. They get to see a different side of me. Through singing, I can express my passion for music. My fans are my rock, my ‘baebies.’ I will always make them proud,” says Anthony.

Anthony’s soothing voice was discovered in 2015 when he joined Eat Bulaga’s “Spogify” featuring “Singing Baes.” In 2018, he joined The Clash Season 1 where he emerged as one of its finalists. After that, he signed a contract with  GMA  Artist Center and is now part of All Out Sundays’ “Kingdom.”

His other songs under  GMA  Music are “Larawan Mo,” “Pwedeng Tayo,” and “Maghintay ka Lamang.”

“Tama Na” is now available for streaming on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, and other digital music streaming services worldwide.
