P-pop girl group BINI has been named Billboard Philippines’ Women of the Year, a major recognition for the rising eight-member act.
The group—made up of Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena—received the award during the Billboard Philippines Women in Music: The Executive Edition event held recently.
The honor is the top recognition of the evening, given to artists who have made a strong impact in music and continue to break ground in their careers.
BINI follows singer Sarah Geronimo, who received the inaugural Woman of the Year award in 2024 and presented this year’s trophy to the group.
“They’ve shown us what it truly means to elevate Filipino artistry,” Geronimo said during the ceremony.
In their speech, BINI thanked their fans and reflected on how far they’ve come.
“Last year, we were very honored to receive the Rising Star Award from Billboard Philippines,” the group said. “Back then, we were simply dreaming of bigger things… now, standing here as Women of the Year.”
The award follows a big year for BINI, who topped local streaming charts and made headlines for being the first Filipino act to win Best Asia Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
