K-pop idol Jungkook of Korean boy group BTS continued to set global records as a solo artist, becoming the first and only Asian artist to surpass 2.1 billion streams on Spotify.
Through his hit single “Seven,” which has captivated listeners worldwide since its release on July 14, 2023, reached the milestone in just 518 days, making it the fourth-fastest song in Spotify history to amass such a staggering number of streams.
The pop singer also landed on Spotify’s prestigious “Top Tracks of 2024 Global” year-end list with “Seven” and “Standing Next to You,” making him also the first Asian solo artist to have multiple songs ranked simultaneously on Spotify’s annual global chart.
Jungkook is one of the members of K-pop powerhouse BTS, alongside RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, and V. He is currently completing his military duties and expected to reunite with his fellow members in June.
