Filipino-American singer-songwriter and content creator Bella Poarch has revealed details about her upcoming debut album. During her guest appearance on content creators Valkyrae and Alythuh’s podcast Press ESC episode “Being Filipino with Bella Poarch,” Poarch revealed that her album features songs about her life experiences.
“It is a very emotional album because it’s literally about the best and worst experiences that I’ve had in my entire life,” Poarch told the podcast hosts.
While the album title and release date have yet to be announced, its latest single “Sweet Delusion” was already released last October. Poarch shared that she had a specific approach to songwriting for the album.
“When I write songs, I want to have a contrast. Like with ‘Sweet Delusion,’ it still sounds beautiful and not too sad, but the lyrics are sad,” she said.
As the fourth most-followed creator on TikTok, Poarch admitted that many are still skeptical about her music because of how she rose to fame through the platform. However, she expressed her gratitude for it as it led to the release of her debut song “Build a B*tch” in 2021.
