Josh Cullen from P-Pop group SB19 teamed up with rapper Al James for a new song titled “Yoko Na.”

Promoting the song’s release on social media, Josh shared a short clip featuring an animated newspaper in front of an iron fence, graffitied with the song title and artists’ names.

“Manghihinayang nalang ba sa kwentong to? ‘Yoko Na’ out now everywhere!” the singer said in the post.  (“Will we just let this story go to waste? ‘Yoko Na’ is out now everywhere!”)

Josh co-produced “Yoko Na” with music producer Brian Lotho, who has worked extensively with SB19. The song explores the feeling of exhaustion and confusion within a relationship when the same issues keep resurfacing without resolution.

“Yoko Na” marks Josh’s fourth song as the lead artist, following “Get Right,” “Pakiusap Lang,” and “Wild Tonight.”

“Wild Tonight” was nominated for the 9th Wish Music Awards last January in the “Hip Hop Song of the Year” category. While it didn’t win against Flow G’s “Rapstar,” Josh took home three awards: “Breakthrough Artist of the Year,” “Wishers’ Choice,” and “Spotify Philippines: Mr. Up Down Up Down Award.”

Al James has collaborated with other notable artists such as pop-funk band Lola Amour (“Madali”), singer-songwriter Zack Tabudlo (“Gusto”), and rapper Flow G (“Atin-Atin Lang”).

“Yoko Na” is now available on all streaming platforms.
