GMA Network and Viu team up to bring more Filipino content to viewers in the Philippines, with 33 GMA shows now available for streaming on the platform.

“At GMA Network, we understand the passion viewers have for their favorite programs,” said Attorney Annette Gozon-Valdes, Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group of GMA Network, and President and CEO of GMA Films.

“Even after a series concludes, they still yearn to watch it repeatedly. Continuously exploring additional platforms, our partnership with Viu Philippines offers audiences the chance to re-watch or discover our programs for the first time,” Gozon-Valdes added.

Vinchi Sy-Quia, Country Manager of Viu Philippines, stated, “We are thrilled to feature these popular GMA shows on the Viu platform. This collaboration allows us to expand our growing audience’s selection of Filipino content, ensuring a consistent offering of premium Asian content to our users.”

The launch kicks off with three popular GMA shows: Lolong (Crocodile Whisperer), Widows’ Web, and First Yaya (The First Nanny), which all started streaming on Viu on Feb. 26.

Widows’ Web, headlined by Carmina Villaroel, Ashley Ortega, Vaness Del Moral, and Pauline Mendoza, is a suspenseful drama following four women caught in a murder mystery. First Yaya, starring Sanya Lopez and Gabby Concepcion, is a romantic comedy about a vice president falling for his children’s nanny, with their relationship taking a turn when he becomes president.

The Viu app is available on the App Store, Google Play, selected smart TVs, and on the web at www.viu.com.
