Screen star  Nathalie Hart  has been the subject of hate comments on Twitter, specifically from the LGBTQ community, even if she has already apologized due to her remarks on her  Maalaala Mo Kaya  episode airing tomorrow night on A2Z. The lesbian-themed episode of the drama anthology also stars  Jane Oineza.

Nathalie made it clear that she’s not a homophobe playing a gay character on TV. In fact, she loves gay people.

“My close friends and family know how much I love gay people. I’m sorry if I offended the LGBTQ community for the remarks I made which were taken out of context. I regret my actions and I truly apologize to the people I have offended. I’m truly sorry,” she said in an Instagram post.

Speaking to  Manila Standard Entertainment, the 28-year-old actress said that when accepting projects either on television or in film, she always considers the material.

Tomorrow night, Nathalie Hart will be seen in ‘MMK.’ She stars opposite Jane Oineza in an episode about millennial queer women.

“For me, I really talk to my management. It’s all about the project and the character. If it’s a good character then I’d be willing to do it. Not because I’m already a mom, I will already change my ways. It’s really all about the material, that’s my major consideration when choosing a project,” she admitted.

In the  MMK  episode about “millennial queer women,” Nathalie said that it’s one of the most challenging roles she’s played in recent years since  it’s her first time to play a lesbian character.

When asked if she and Jane kissed in the MMK episode she said, “We didn’t really kiss but you have to watch it for you to see how that scene is going to turn out,” alluding to the controversial scene where she is seen about to lock lips with her co-star.

Given the theme of the episode, Nathalie got quizzed if she would ever consider having a relationship with the same sex.

“I think I’d prefer a gay man rather than having a relationship with a lesbian. It’s easier to fall in love with a gay man if he’s honest, if he’d tell that he’s gay. I can accept that. At least we have the same preference,” she said.

Apart from her  MMK  stint,  Nathalie is currently filming a movie entitled  Kunwari Mahal Kita  with  Joseph Marco  and  Rysa Cenon.

“The movie was 40 percent finished before the pandemic. There are sexy scenes in the movie but due to the current restrictions, some adjustments will be made once we resume production in a few weeks’ time,” she said.

Nathalie is also busy promoting Gayatree organics, a business she founded in June last year.

“I had a lot of time during the height of the pandemic. So, I thought of  doing something productive. Our products are FDA approved and we had several people who used them during some series of tests. I even tested the product on my baby. That’s how confident I am that our products are safe because they are organic,” she stated.

Gayatree is a range of high-quality, chemical-free, and effective organic and plant-based skincare products. The company’s mission is to create healthy, sustainable lifestyles, and beauty routines with minimal impact on the environment.

“These products provide clean and balanced skincare from natural ingredients which are rich in antioxidants and minerals,” she ended.
