JaDine fans in the US are in for a treat when their favorite love team embarks on its performing tour this year. James Reid and Nadine Lustre headline the Always Jadine 2017 shows in the following places: the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California on March 26; the Chabot College Performing Arts Center in Hayward, California on March 31; Ayva Center Concerts and Banquet Houston, Texas on April 1; the Tropicana in Las Vegas, Nevada; and will close at the World Trade Center (Zabeel Hall 6) in Dubai on May 5.

This is Jadine’s second international concert tour.  Last year saw the pair in blockbuster performances in the Middle East, Europe, the US and Canada.

The Always Jadine tour is made possible by SMDC and Philippine Airlines.  It is a production of Viva Live and the NY Entourage Productions in the US and by Viva Live, Etalent International and Frontrow International in Dubai.  Also featured in the show are host and comedian Chad Kinis and the Gforce Dancers.

Mike Tan is a loyal Kapuso. He renewed his e contract with the Kapuso Network on March 16.

Mike was discovered in the second season of Starstruck where he was hailed as the Ultimate Male Survivor. For over 13 years of being part of GMA, he expressed his gratitude on the challenging projects that the Network has been giving him.

“Hindi ko kasi talaga makita na umalis ako sa Network na nagpasikat sa akin, nagturo sa akin at talagang nagmamahal sa akin. Ever since naman, nandito sila for me and never nila akong pinabayaan, through ups and downs, andiyan sila para sa akin. Never nila akong binigyan ng hindi ko gustong proyekto. Lagi nilang pinararamdam sa akin yung tiwala kaya lagi akong thankful na nandito ako sa GMA.”

Currently, Mike is one of the lead stars of the country’s top daytime program Ika-6 Na Utos with Sunshine Dizon, Ryza Cenon, and Gabby Concepcion.

Actor Mike Tan renews his ties with GMA Network

Mike is thankful to all the viewers and netizens who continuously praise him for his portrayal of Angelo Trinidad.

“Challenge siya sa akin siyempre. Parang ngayon lang ako ulit gumawa ng ganito kabigat na role. Aaminin ko, hindi siya madali. Mahirap siya. Kasi ‘yung mga nakaraan kong ginawa, sa akin mahirap na ‘yun, pero hindi kasing bigat nito, hindi kasing lalim ng hugot nito.”

He added, “Kasi parang lagi mong ipaglalaban ang love mo sa tao na yun. At the same time, vulnerable ka. Ipapakita mo na kung kailangan mo umiyak, iiyak ka. Sa The Millionaire’s Wife, kailangan mong pigilan. Dito sa soap, kailangan mong ibigay. Kailangan mong umiyak, magalit, magselos, minsan hindi ko na alam ang reaction kasi hindi ko naman na-experience ‘yun. Ang ginagawa ko, nakikinig na lang ako tapos kung ano ang maging reaction ko, ‘yun na ‘yun.”

Oops! Angel Locsin has dropped the Darna role. And the Kapamilya network couldn’t do anything about it but agree. It was a mutual agreement between the network and the star.

Here’s the official statement of the network from the head of Corporate Communiations Kane Errol Choa.

ABS-CBN, Star Cinema, and Angel Locsin have mutually arrived at a final decision that she will no longer pursue the “Darna” movie due to her medical condition.

We gave Angel our full support during and after her treatment in hopes that she would portray the iconic Filipino heroine. Because of Angel’s passion and dedication, she resumed training for the movie after undergoing surgery and therapy for the disc bulge in her spine. Unfortunately, Angel experienced back pain twice during training, prompting her doctor to advise her not to participate in strenuous activities to avoid permanent damage on her spine.

We would have loved to see Angel fly again as Darna and take our hats off to her for the gargantuan efforts she has put in for the project.

We wish her well as she will begin working on other projects, like a special role in “La Luna Sangre” with John Lloyd Cruz, a movie with James Reid, a movie with Coco Martin, and a teleserye.

So, now the search for a star to play Darna in the Star Cinema movie is on.
