The nippy air, the festive mood, colorful decors of shiny red and green, gold and silver everywhere, happy hearts, holiday cheers. Christmas, indeed, is right around the corner.

For television host and actor Luis Manzano, celebrating Christmas is all about sharing wonderful memories and capturing these moments that can last us a lifetime. During the happiest season of the year, nothing makes him happier than celebrating with family, friends, and even strangers.

Celebrations are a huge part of his life and here’s another thing he remembers about those occasions. “Every single time I celebrate, Shakey’s has to be a part of it,” he remembers. Growing up, Manzano’s memories with friends and family have always been colored by an image of the ever-present Shakey’s pizza box. “I grew up with my extended family, so every Sunday, the house was always full of people. In every reunion, there would always be Shakey’s. In fact, I can’t remember a reunion without it,” he adds.

TAKE A BITE. Shakey's brand ambassador Luis Manzano is the unanimous choice to promote the restaurant chain because of his fun personality

Manzano is an authentic Shakey’s fan, posting and tweeting constantly about the famous fun, family, pizza. Viewing his social media feed would show numerous photos of the Pepperoni Pizza, his all-time favorite. “In fact, when my friends found out I would be working with Shakey’s, they asked me if I was going to have parties at my house every weekend. I am that much of a fan!”

For him, Shakey’s isn’t just about the food, although he admits that their menu is a good enough reason to keep coming back. “Shakey’s has a great atmosphere. It really is a place for good times and great memories because when you enter Shakey’s you see families laughing and couples smiling. Everything is always so fun and so celebratory. At Shakey’s, you can get to know people and enjoy your company.”

This is the reason he believes Shakey’s has lasted in the market this long, because, speaking from his own experiences, he knows that Shakey’s is a brand that truly puts its guests first. “Brands come and go—but the legends, the icons, the staples stay… and Shakey’s is one of them.”

It is a popular known fact that Shakey’s has grown to be one of the Filipinos’ most favorite casual dining restaurants. First opening their doors in 1975, the Philippines’ favorite fun, family, pizza restaurant has evolved into a definite venue for good times and great memories.

Ghena Austero, Marketing manager of Shakey’s Philippines, reveals why Manzano was Shakey’s unanimous choice as an endorser. “Luis is fun. He can be everyone’s friend. His character and personality very much relates to the brand. He loves his family and he has a great network of friends. The brand chose Luis Manzano not only because of his funny, lovable personality but, more importantly, because he is a true and authentic fan of Shakey’s. Something that our guests can ultimately relate to.”
