“When my program managers and bosses sent me the photo of the certificate of nomination, it felt great. It only means that my performance got appreciated,” he added.

“I thank God because I somehow look like Jin Goo, the actor who originally played the role. That’s one of the reasons why they say I nabbed the part.”

Meanwhile, for the PMPC award, Rocco is be pitted against seasoned thespians Jaime Fabregas (Ang Probinsyano), Roderick Paulate (One of the Baes), Michael de Mesa (Ang Probinsyano), Joel Torre (Starla), Gardo Versoza (Sandugo), and Gabby Eigenmann (Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit).

“Honestly, I don’t feel I’m in the same level as them. I feel honored to be in the roster of nominees alongside their names. The nomination itself is already an award for me. It will truly motivate me to further hone my craft and make more meaningful projects with the Kapuso network in the future,” he said of being nominated alongside seasoned actors.

Speaking about projects, Rocco is happy to know that Derek Ramsay felt glad upon knowing that he is his replacement in the new GMA primetime drama To Have and to Hold. It can be remembered that the role was first offered to Derek but he declined saying he is not ready to work yet.

“I learned that Derek was happy that the role went to me instead. I want to thank him for the kind words and his confidence in me.”

Despite not being the first choice for the part, Rocco is glad that the role ended on his lap.
