What made Billy stay

In his recent interview in the TV 5 program Usapang Real Life, hosted by Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Billy Crawford revealed that he and wife Coleen Garcia had plans to leave the country for good after the shutdown of ABS-CBN.

“I really felt sad with that particular development,” he averred. “It was a dark period for everybody. This includes artists, Production Assistants…I mean, every personnel working for the station.”

This episode made him and his young family almost consider migrating abroad.

“I guess it was a logical decision to make at that time because our careers were in a standstill. Nothing’s definite. I was planning to sell all our properties and move out of this country.

“I felt there’s nothing for me to do here. I didn’t have a job. You know what I’m saying? And if I did, it wasn’t really sustainable. I couldn’t sustain my family.”

The singer-actor and TV host admitted that he got so depressed because of what happened to his home studio.

“I won’t deny the fact that there were a lot of nights that I cried. Imagine I’m jobless at a time when I’m just starting a family. There were a lot of nights that I called most of my friends at ABS-CBN,” he said.

“We would talk and pour out our sentiments. Until now, I am still in touch with my Kapamilya colleagues. All of us remain friends despite the fact that some, including me, sought job opportunities in other networks,” he added.

In his case, Billy is very grateful that TV 5 signed him up to host Masked Singer Pilipinas (MSP) and for including him as one of the main hosts in the noontime program Lunch Out Loud.

“I will also have a new project after the season finale of MSP. Right now, I’m really thankful that I have a job. It’s a blessing to still being able to do what I love at my age. I want this to be sustainable for my family,” ended Billy.

In a recent interview, Aga Muhlach announced that he has no concrete plans for his showbiz career at this point.

“Well, Masked Singer Pilipinas (MSP) where I am one of the resident judges already had its last taping. What’s next for me after this? I don’t know. It depends,” he said.

Since 2021 is nearing, people get excited about his future offerings after dishing out a few projects this 2020.

“Should I say this? Yes! Next year, it’s either I do it or forget about it. If I’m not at my fittest next year, then I should be done.”

Many notice that he gained some weight. Aga explains that this is the main reason why he came to such decision.

“For one, I cannot short-change my viewers, my audience. If I want to do nice films, believable character, I have to look like an actor which is like to be fit. I think that’s the responsibility of an actor, you should look physically presentable and believable.”

The multi-awarded actor plans to shy away from the public eye in the coming days if his weight remains the same.

“I guess it’s about time that if I’m not going to be at my fittest in 2021, people won’t be seeing me in the meantime in the big and small screens.”

While waiting for his grand screen comeback, the handsome actor wants to venture into a related field.

“Radio! Yes, I want to try it. I’m always hooked on watching tele-radyos. Radio is light. People here are as real as it gets,” Aga stated.
