Olongapo City beauty named first Miss Aura Philippines

An aura of charm and respectability earned for Alexandra Faith Garcia the first-ever Miss Aura Philippines 2021 title and the right to represent the country in Miss Aura International 2021 pageant.

California-based Filipino-American designer Kathleen Katniss Griffiths, national director of Miss Aura International Philippines, chose Garcia after conducting a selection process with the Beauty, Behavior, Brain, and Body qualities that the international pageant is looking for.

Alexandra Faith Garcia of Olongapo City is flying to Turkey to compete against 35 other delegates for the title Miss Aura International 2021 pageant.

Founded in 2016, the Miss Aura International pageant, formerly Miss Kremer International, centers on the promotion of tourism and gives importance to preserving culture.

Garcia is coming from her recent stint at Bb. Pilipinas 2021 pageant where she won the Miss World Balance special award. The 27-year-old, 5-foot-7 Tourism graduate from Columban College in Olongapo City competed in Mutya ng Pilipinas in 2014, her first national pageant, where she paced among the Top 10 finalists.

An entrepreneur, Garcia is into food kiosk business and fish farming. Garcia has been training under the Kagandahang Flores Camp and will step up more for the forthcoming 16th Miss Aura International pageant.

“I want to thank the Miss Aura Philippines organization for believing in me and all my friends and supporters. I’ll do my best to represent the Philippines and to make my countrymen proud,” said Garcia who is also a triathlon athlete.

The special event was graced by some important people in the pageant industry and friends who are close to her heart led by Rodgil Flores, her mentor and head of Kagandang Flores (KF) beauty camp, Jovita Laureola, Managing Director of Ms. Aura Philippines, reigning Mrs. Elite International Philippines 2020, businesswoman and philanthropist Michelle Vitug Encarnacion, and the head of Alexandra's supporters Gino Esteban.

Miss Aura International 2021 is scheduled from Sept. 20 to Oct. 5 in Antalya City, Turkey with more than thirty delegates competing. Andreia Correia, a 23-year-old professional model from Portugal, is the reigning Miss Aura International 2020.

Philippines’ Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo wins 4th Mrs. Tourism 2021 pageant

Multi-faceted Hemilyn Escudero-Tamayo was named Mrs. Tourism 2021 at the conclusion of the virtual pageant on Tuesday besting twenty-plus candidates from around the world. The 4th edition Mrs. Tourism 2021, which aims to provide a platform for married women and single mothers on their advocacies for social causes and tourism, was organized and presented by Megastar Productions, headed by CEO/Chairperson Ovette Ricalde.

Tamayo also won the Best in Talent, Best in National Costume, Best in Speech, Most Influential in YouTube and Facebook special awards.

Tamayo, married to Philippine Air Force Major Richard Antonio Tamayo with two children, has been a veteran in international beauty competitions, since joining the Mutya ng Pilipinas in 2005. She competed in Miss Globe International 2005 in Albania, Miss Petite International 2006 in USA, Miss Global City 2008 in Taiwan and Mrs. Universe 2014 in Malaysia. She was also the former president of Mutya ng Pilipinas Organization.

An extremely talented woman, Tamayo has been into painting since early 2000, learning on one-on-one sessions with renowned local painters. To further her studies in the field of Arts, she enrolled at the prestigious Yale University in 2019.

Tamayo is also an officer of the United Women Artists Association of the Philippines (UWAAP), a group of women artists dedicated towards honoring Filipino women artists who have made remarkable contributions to society.

A successful entrepreneur, Tamayo took up financial management in Texas, USA and is a graduate of Charlston School of Protocol and Etiquette and Fashion Image Institute in San Francisco. She is the founder of Total Image, Inc., an image consultant agency.

A philanthropist, Tamayo was a former president of Rotary Club-Southern Mandaluyong. She founded the Sagip Angel Association, was the head of the ‘Queen Without Scars Philippine Chapter and was a board member of Artistikong Kabataan Philippines.  She is also a reservist under the Armed Forces of the Philippines – Reserved Command.

Tamayo has expressed on FB/Instagram her gratitude to everyone, for their love and support, to win the virtual Mrs. Tourism 2021 pageant.

‘The Power Couples,’ LLIC’s newest faces

Lueur Lauren International, Corp. (LLIC), distributor of K-beauty products, introduced recently a team of highly acclaimed radio disc jockeys, celebrity rapper, and influencer as their newest brand ambassadors.

Real life couples John "DJ Papa Jackson" Gemperle and Klaris DJ “Gandang Kara” Magboo, and Nikusheen "D-Coy" On and Charlene “Cha-cha” Pega are LLIC’s newest faces.

LLIC’s new ambassadors, dubbed “The Power Couples,” are real-life couple Mr. John "DJ Papa Jackson" Gemperle (known as "The Voice of the Entrepreneurs") & Ms. Klaris DJ “Gandang Kara” Magboo (known as "The New Voice of Beauty’) of @Energy FM 106.7; and fiery couple Mr. Nikusheen "D-Coy" On (known as "The Rapper Entrepreneur") & Ms. Charlene “Cha-cha” Pega (known as "The Business Influencer”). 

The Power Couples get a touch of Korean as they joined Lueur Lauren’s celebrity faces including ultimate hunk actor/model Derek Ramsay and Binibining Intercontinental 2019 Emma Mary Tiglao.

Nikusheen “D-Coy”, who serves as the head of the team, said she got interested after trying one of the products, the body slimming gel, which she found very effective.

Papa Jackson of Energy FM 106.7, who revealed he has been into selling longer than his career in radio (15 years), first heard about Lueur Lauren from brand endorser Ramsay. 

Like Papa Jackson, Cha-cha Pega, a model, influencer and content creator, has been a multilevel marketer since she was 16 years old. “I’m a product believer. If the product is good, I really use it,” Pega said. 

LLIC has proven its resiliency against the pandemic providing job opportunities to Filipinos in this time of crisis. “It’s hard to look for business today, but Lueur Lauren is easy and not so complicated,” said DJ Gandang Kara.

Together, the four trendsetters will be a force to be reckoned with. The “Power Couples’ are ready to empower and ready to conquer.
