Motorsport is one of the world’s most dangerous racing games. It takes a lot of guts, discipline, courage, and hard work to attain success in this field. And James Christopher D. Barcial bears all this in mind.

James Christopher Barcial, 26, is a motocross racer and an entrepreneur from Balagtas, Bulacan.

Fear and quitting is not in the vocabulary of this young road racing circuit rider from Balagtas, Bulacan. He makes sure that in every competition, he always gives his best while praying for guidance from the heavens.

Born on Aug. 3, 1994, the 5-foot-6 motorsport athlete started in this extreme activity at the tender age of 6. His father, Jaime Barcial, taught him the ways of motocross. 

The young rider has already won several titles and competitions in this sport. Some of the achievements tucked under his belt include 2008 Underbone King champion, 115 Super Stock Under bone champion, 2009 Underbone King 115 open category, 2011 160cc Open Runner Up, 2012 Under bone King, 2012 160cc Scooter champion, 2012 IRGP Automatic champion, 2013 IRGP Advance 180cc champion, 2013 180cc Scooter 1st runner-up, and 2014 IRGP Champion in the 160 and 180cc categories. He had a podium finish in the Inside Racing Grand Prix or IRGP motocross competition held in Carmona, Cavite in November 2017. 

At 26, the promise of a great career is already on his way. With nerves of steel and unmatched talent, he always takes the risk to overcome any challenges that confront him.

“This is a dangerous sport, but it really needs practice. Your mind and body need to be in right. It makes you aware and ready of any eventualities that may arise during the race,” James said who lists Valentino Rossi as his his road racing idol.

“He is the best for me because he is the rider who, even though he had several world champion titles, he is still remains humble,” he added.

Talking about motocross, a physically demanding sport held in all-weather conditions, James explained that his family was his biggest influence.

“I chose this sport because my family is in the racing industry. I feel in love with this sport, which I consider as a career,” said James who also currently wears another hat as an entrepreneur.

This young achiever believes that the fast-paced world of motocross riding can be one of the most dangerous sports in the world, yet despite this hard, cold fact, he remains resilient as it also helps him to be brave on the race track of life.
