Have you ever wondered why there is one month of the year named ‘Women’s Month?’

Model Ronalyn Vitug’s before and after photos.

According to Google search, “March is Women’s History Month, a time to reflect on the role of women in America, both past and present. It is celebrated every March to coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8. If Women’s Month commemorates the history of women’s impact in the world and to raise awareness of issues women are facing worldwide, International Women’s Day was established to commemorate the movement for women’s rights, which is March 18, 2017.”

Looking at this commemoration from the perspective of the many joys and sufferings that women undergo, whether it be a happily married life, joy in becoming mothers, women in a state of loneliness or depression, their importance lies in their impact on the lives of every family and every relationship. They are, come to think of it, always a blessing to others for their many sacrifices and selflessness.

But how do these women cope with their various situations in life? Where to they seek comfort and solace after losing a husband or boyfriend? Where do they run to, literally to change their consciousness and sad looks?

Believe it or not, after asking these of several women, they have one common answer, to the beauty salons for a change in hairstyle or looks, from the physical point of view. And of course, after the parlors, they go shopping to complete their makeovers.

Here comes the innovative Ricky “Mader” Reyes, with his new idea on how to make women continue be a blessing to others. His more than ten salons has seen how visiting his parlor has changed the outlook of women undergoing an overload of being unappreciated for their efforts of maintaining a household, raising children, and being wives or girlfriends. Usually pressed with time, Mader has thought of the first of its kind “Str8 Express,” a one-hour strengthening for the hair instead of the three hours of rebond, a hair style that can last for permanently and cost for a little on your pocket unlike the rebonding that is expensive.

“Your hair is your crowning glory, and you must always be careful on how it looks, smooth and neat,” comments the pioneer of hair rebond in the Philippines since twenty years ago.

To introduce this new method of adapting to the time constrains of many women, Mader will be doing a roadshow in all SM entertainment centers which will include beauty consultation — what is good for the hair and what to do with it.  He will bring stars and young balladeer LA Santos to entertain the audience. He will also invite the 12 winners of the Miss Philippines contest and those models with beautiful hair.

The tour started March 6 at SM Fairview then onward to other branches such as SM Bacoor on March 22, and to be followed by SM Southmall, SM San Lazaro And SM North Edsa.

The roadshow will be highlighted with Ricky Reyes personally doing a demonstration of Str8 Express go girls method. Since it started five months ago, his salons have done close to 6000 heads.

Through his Str8 Express, this well-known philanthropist of a beautician wants women to be a new person again starting this Women’s Month and continue to be a blessing to those around them, this time, with a positive attitude towards their contributions to everyone they come in contact with.
