Content creator Jamela Villanueva is no stranger to public attention, especially after last year’s headline-making controversy involving her ex-boyfriend, actor Anthony Jennings and actress Maris Racal.

The unexpected drama thrust her into the spotlight, making her personal life a topic of intense speculation.

Just as the buzz around her name was starting to settle, her recent launch as the new ambassador of Ampong Dental Essentials reignited the conversation surrounding her—but this time, for a different reason.

“Is she joining showbiz?” The public and industry insiders alike began questioning whether the 26-year-old was taking her first step toward an entertainment career.

However, Jamela is quick to shut down the rumors, insisting that showbusiness isn’t part of her plans.

“It’s still not something I see myself doing,” she admitted. “I don’t think my mental health can handle being in that kind of industry.”

Having seen the inner workings of the entertainment world firsthand, the content creator knows it’s not the life she wants.

“I was exposed to it. I saw it with my own eyes,” she reflected, alluding to the controversy that unexpectedly placed her under the public’s microscope.

Part of that scrutiny stemmed from her decision to release the alleged messages between Anthony and Maris, a move that sparked mixed reactions online. Addressing the issue during a group interview, Jamela explained why she felt compelled to do what she did.

“I was just pushed to do it because so much was happening. I’m just a normal person. I didn’t have anyone to defend me. It’s really difficult when you’re constantly being judged by people,” admitted Jamela.

Rather than chasing fame, she is now focusing on rebuilding herself and prioritizing her well-being.

“Moving on isn’t just about forgetting the past. It’s also about choosing yourself in the present—about how you rebuild yourself despite everything that has happened to you,” she explained.

A crucial part of her healing process, she shared, has been surrounding herself with the right people.

“I’m careful about who I allow in my circle. I choose people who truly support me, who will lead me in the right direction and call me out when I’m wrong,” Jamela added.

Above all, she refuses to compromise her self-worth, stating, “My self-worth is non-negotiable.”

Still, Jamela acknowledged that healing isn’t a straight path, and forgiveness doesn’t happen overnight.

“I’m still in the process,” she admitted when asked if she has completely moved on.

But she also understands that healing looks different for everyone.

“Behind every smile, there’s a story. Just because I haven’t completely forgiven doesn’t mean I can’t smile,” said Jamela, emphasizing that moving on isn’t about stepping into the limelight—it’s about reclaiming her peace.
