Husband of comedy actress Rufa Mae Quinto, Trevor Magallanes, has confirmed that they are now in the process of divorce.
In a statement posted on his Instagram on Friday, Dec. 13, Trevor addressed the separation.
“Hey guys, I felt like I need to explain myself based on social media and all that. I want to make myself clear that Rufa Mae and I are in the process of a divorce,” Trevor wrote.
He then acknowledged the emotional toll of the situation.
“You may be aware divorce can be very devastating to the children and also the parents. That being said, my marriage has been a sh*t show, and I am sorry for that,” he continued.
Trevor also emphasized that his focus is now on their 6-year-old daughter, Athena.
“All that matters [to] me at this time is getting through the divorce as best as I can and spending time with Athena,” added Trevor.
The couple tied the knot in 2016 and had been at the center of speculation about marital troubles in recent weeks, fueled by alleged screenshots of their private conversations circulating online posted by Trevor.
On the other hand, Rufa Mae has not yet issued an official statement.
