P-pop girl group BINI and world-class gymnast Carlos Yulo have emerged as the most-searched female and male personalities in the Philippines, according to Google’s annual Year in Search.
The list highlights events, personalities, and cultural milestones that captured the attention of Filipinos throughout the year—from historic athletic achievements to breakout music sensations.
Carlos Yulo, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, topped multiple categories following his historic triumph at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Yulo’s exceptional performance solidified his reputation as the country’s most celebrated athlete, with his name appearing in four major search categories.
Meanwhile, BINI, often referred to as the “Nation’s Girl Group,” dominated online conversations and claimed the top spot on the list of most-searched female personalities. Additionally, member Mikha Lim secured the No. 10 position individually. Known for their energetic performances, BINI’s influence extended far beyond their dedicated fanbase.
The group’s hit songs, “Salamin, Salamin” and “Pantropiko,” also appeared on Google’s list of most-searched songs and lyrics, ranking at No. 7 and No. 9, respectively.
