The Miss World Philippines Organization has released a statement addressing the now-deleted “Guess the Bill” challenge video featuring Miss World Philippines 2024, Krishnah Gravidez, which went viral after receiving backlash from netizens.
The video, posted by content creator Emman Atienza, showed Gravidez and their friends guessing the total cost of their dinner, with the person guessing closest to the actual amount paying the entire bill.
With the total amounting to P133,000 and Gravidez shown as the one covering the cost, netizens were quick to criticize the lavish display, claiming it conflicted with the values the beauty queen represents.
In its statement on social media, the organization emphasized that Gravidez remains dedicated to her advocacy of spreading kindness and continues to support charitable initiatives aimed at helping those in need.
The statement also clarified that the viral video did not reflect Gravidez’s character or values, as it was a “lighthearted moment among friends.”
Additionally, it revealed that the video was posted without Gravidez’s consent, though she took full responsibility for it, as expressed in her public apology, where she stated that she never intended to cause harm.
“As an organization, we stand by Krishnah Marie Gravidez and her ongoing efforts to represent the country with grace, dignity, and purpose,” the statement said, urging the public to trust that Gravidez will uphold the values of the pageant in all her actions.
