In a bold move to fully embrace her new character, actress Ryza Cenon has proudly shown off her shaved head for her role in the upcoming film “Lilim”.
On her YouTube channel, Ryza documented her hair transformation journey, showcasing the process of shaving off her hair.
“Gagawin na natin ‘yung big decision ko ngayon na magpa-shave ng hair. Not just shave, but skinhead talaga. Para sa character naman ito. Ganu’n talaga ako ka-committed sa character, so game,” said Ryza.
She also revealed that shaving her head has always been a personal dream, and she’s thrilled to finally have the opportunity to do it.
“Pangarap kong magpakalbo. Sinabi ko, ‘pag buntis ako, magpapakalbo ako, but nu’ng buntis ako, hindi ako pinayagan. Ito na ‘yung chance ko,” she added.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, the actress clarified that shaving her head was entirely her decision and not a requirement from the production team.
“Hindi naman po siya nirequire. Ako po mismo nagsabi na magpapakalbo ako. For me, kasi mas okay siya doon sa character ko. Tapos nagtest look kami, hindi ko po trip ‘yung prosthetics. Mas makakatulong rin po siya sa character ko,” shared Ryza.
The upcoming horror film “Lilim” will be directed by Mikhail Red and is set to be released in Philippine cinemas soon.
