Actor Ruru Madrid took to social media to share a long heart-warming message to his long-time girlfriend Bianca Umali after she brought home the Best Dramatic Performance award from the inaugural Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival.
In his post sharing a photo of Umali’s award, Madrid congratulated his girlfriend for receiving the accolade for her performance in the film “Mananambal” by director Adolfo Alix Jr.
”You deserve every bit of this recognition dahil sa ipinamalas mong husay at dedikasyon sa pelikulang ito. Sa kabila ng maraming pagsubok na hinarap mo, hindi ka nagpatalo at ngayon narito ka na, nagtatagumpay,” said Madrid in his post.
He added how proud he was of her as he saw what she went through behind the scenes and thanked her for being an inspiration to him in overcoming difficulties through believing in one’s self and staying faithful to God.
“I love you so much, Mahal ko! I’m so very proud of you. Ikaw ang idol ko,” said Madrid.
Umali later replied to his post, thanking him for his words.
”Salamat, Idol. MAHAL NA MAHAL KITA!!! This one is for you too,” the actress said.
Umali stars in the horror film alongside Nora Aunor, EA Guzman, and Kelvin Miranda. “Mananambal” is one of the Filipino films that served as official entries to the film festival, including “Chances Are You And I,” “Malditas In Maldives,” and “Manipula.”
The inaugural Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival was held in Tokyo, Japan on May 25 and 26.
