K-pop idol Karina from the girl group Aespa has released a handwritten apology to her fans about the recent confirmation of her relationship with actor Lee Jae-wook.
In the handwritten letter she shared on her official Instagram account, Karina apologized for surprising her fans with the development as well as for not addressing the situation right away. She explained that her late action was due to her being very cautious about dealing with the girl group’s fans.
The idol further acknowledged the disappointment of fans who have been supporting her as she knew that they felt upset over the situation. Karina said that she wrote the letter to say that she was sorry and that she would be making it up to fans who got hurt as every single one of them was precious to her.
Karina ended the letter by expressing her gratitude to her fans, reminding them to eat well and to meet one another in good shape.
Korean media outlet Dispatch had previously revealed the pair’s relationship to the public, citing that the two were seen walking around Lee Jae-wook’s neighborhood at night. After the news caused a lot of talk online, the celebrities’ respective agencies confirmed the relationship, saying that they were in the process of getting to know each other.
Their relationship was also reported to have begun after the pair had met during the Prada Fall/Winter 2024 Menswear Show during the Milan Fashion Week and had continued as they returned to Seoul.
Many fans have expressed various opinions regarding the situation as some supported the relationship while others did not. Some fans questioned how Dispatch got the photos of the pair as some accused the outlet of stalking.
