Enrique Gil walked the red carpet solo last night for the movie premiere of his comeback film “I Am Not Big Bird”. Many were quick to notice the absence of his girlfriend, Liza Soberano.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Enrique was asked about his feelings that Liza was not able to make it to the premiere night.
“I know, I know. It’s fine, it’s fine,” answered Enrique.
However, Enrique revealed that he was going to have another screening so she could watch his comedy film with her.
“I’m gonna have another screening with her. She’s just really busy,” he added.
In an earlier interview, Enrique said that Liza would try to come to the premiere night of “I Am Not Big Bird” but due to a conflict in schedule, with the actress having a prior commitment with an endorsement, she was not able to attend.
Earlier this month also, Enrique dispelled split rumors with Liza, affirming that he and Liza Soberano are still in a relationship and were just busy with their schedules.
“We’re happy. We’re just really busy,” stated Enrique.
“I think we just realized in life, that we shouldn’t always be just centered around each other. We can do more, [and] grow more if we go our own paths, we can achieve more. And it just makes us better,” he added.
Liza has been occupied with her work in the United States on “Lisa Frankenstein” while Enrique is busy promoting his “I Am Not Big Bird” which both films are now showing in theaters nationwide.
