This was the answer of Nadine Lustre when asked what she thought made people think she deserves to be called this year’s sexiest woman.
On Thursday, FHM Philippines officially announced that Nadine topped the sexiest woman in the world poll. The Kapamilya actress got nearly half-a-million votes or 9.85 percent of the total votes cast to be hailed as the world’s sexiest woman for the first time.
“Nadine Lustre’s ascension to the Throne of Sexy comes as no surprise – not only does she have the most loyal fans, she also has the glowing assets to show for it,” FHM Philippines said in a post on its Facebook page. “Give her a warm welcome!”
Following the announcement, the FHM team surprised the 23-year-old Viva artist with a plaque at the ABS-CBN compound.
“I am really surprised but I’m super thankful kasi siyempre kahit papano ni-recognize pa rin ng FHM and also for the JaDines and also for the non-JaDine fans who voted for me. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng bumoto,” she said in an interview with the media after receiving her award.
Now that she has been hailed as the Sexiest Woman by the magazine, fans are itching to ask whether she would appear on the magazine cover or will still keep her sweet yet sexy image exclusively for fashion magazines.
“Everything depends on Viva. We’ll see. Whatever Viva tells me to do, I trust them naman eh,” she said.
Nadine relayed that she is gearing up for a new project this year. She said that she will be doing a daring role.
“It’s a story pero secret po muna ‘yun, hindi ko muna ikwe-kwento,” she enthused.
FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World is the ultimate guide to the sexiest and most beautiful women in the land. This year’s poll drew more than 3 million votes for the top 10 alone. Pantasya ng Bayan Kim Domingo who got 450,192 or 9.03 percent of votes was in close second followed by Kapuso star Rhian Ramos (359,405 or 7.21 percent), and last year’s winner, Jessy Mendiola, who settled in fourth place with 350,182 or 7.03 percent of votes.
Ellen Adarna (320,391 or 6.43 percent) ranked fifth followed by former sexiest titleholders Jennylyn Mercado (318,273 or 6.39%) and Angel Locsin (248,192 or 4.98 percent).
Millennial Darna Liza Soberano (201,925 or 4.05 percent), AlDub’s Maine Mendoza (200,182 or 4.02 percent), and Kapuso star Solenn Heussaff (180,294 votes or 3.62 percent), complete the top 10 ranking 8th, 9th, and 10th, respectively.
