Global pop icon Mariah Carey is set to return to the Philippines for a one-night concert on Oct. 14, as part of her “The Celebration of Mimi” world tour.
The show, which will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, marks Carey’s first Manila performance since 2018.
The upcoming tour celebrates the 10th anniversary of her acclaimed 2005 comeback album The Emancipation of Mimi, which includes chart-topping singles such as “We Belong Together,” “Shake It Off,” and “It’s Like That.”
“We’re taking The Celebration of Mimi worldwide!” Carey wrote in a recent social media post. “I can’t wait to see you all during this special anniversary year of the Mimi album.”
The Manila leg is part of the Asian tour series, with stops also scheduled in China, Thailand, and Japan.
Concert promoter Wilbros Live announced that tickets will be available soon via SMTickets.com and SM Tickets outlets nationwide. Additional ticketing details are expected to follow.
Carey last performed in the country in October 2018 at the Araneta Coliseum. Her return has since sparked excitement among Filipino fans eager to see the pop diva back on the local stage.
