Television host Kuya Kim Atienza suffered minor injuries in a motorcycle accident on March 6 while riding home from work.
Atienza said he crashed when a large dog suddenly crossed his path, causing him to be thrown off his motorcycle. He sustained a broken rib but avoided more serious injuries.
An ambulance from the Fire Emergency Paramedic Assistance Group (FEPAG) happened to be nearby and provided immediate medical assistance.
Atienza, a longtime motorcycle enthusiast, expressed gratitude for surviving what he called his “fourth life” and credited the quick emergency response for preventing further harm.
Currently on pain medication, he said he would take time off work and refrain from riding until he fully recovers.
He also thanked his wife, Felicia, and daughter, Emman, for rushing to his side after the accident.
Atienza, who previously suffered a stroke 12 years ago, said the incident renewed his appreciation for life.
