Filipino fans were in for a treat this weekend as K-pop idols Taeyang and BamBam performed Original Pilipino Music (OPM) during their respective concerts in Manila.
BigBang’s Taeyang surprised his supporters by singing the OPM hit “Palagi” during the Manila leg of his The Light Year tour on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Korean singer flawlessly delivered TJ Monterde’s song, impressing fans with his smooth pronunciation and emotional delivery.
“Manila, I love you… palagi,” the South Korean star told the crowd, using the Filipino word, which translates to “always.”
Meanwhile, BamBam of GOT7 brought an electrifying mix of music and fun to the second day of Waterbomb Manila 2025 on Sunday, Feb. 23. Among his setlist was Lola Amour’s viral hit “Raining in Manila.”
Adding to his performance, BamBam also hyped up the crowd with his iconic “shot puno” gesture—a call for a full shot typically seen at Filipino celebrations—encouraging fans to splash water on him.
The Thai singer also performed a few songs from his discography as well as some of GOT7’s tracks, in addition to “Raining in Manila.”
