Seasoned actor Mon Confiado is set to reprise his role as Emilio Aguinaldo in the upcoming historical biopic Quezon, a film that delves into the life of the first President of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, Manuel L. Quezon.
In a post by Confiado, he revealed that he would be reprising his role, sharing images of his script from a recent table-read session with the film’s cast.
“Project Q All Star Cast Table Reading Filming Soon,” he wrote.
The film, produced by TBA Studios, is scheduled to begin its production in March, with a theatrical release expected later this year.
Quezon will be the third installation of TBA Studios’ “Bayaniverse,” a cinematic series exploring key moments in Philippine history. The franchise includes the critically acclaimed and commercially successful films Heneral Luna (2015) and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral (2018).
Jerrold Tarog, the director and co-writer of Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral, is returning to helm Quezon.
