Tanya Chinita of 90.7 Love Radio has embraced the nickname “TitaMax,” engaging morning listeners with her unique charm and playful storytelling.

Teaming up with on-air partner Angkol Dagol, Tanya hosts a morning program from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., sharing love stories paired with lighthearted banter that keeps audiences entertained.

Interestingly, the “TitaMax” persona wasn’t Tanya’s own creation. She shared that the moniker was coined by netizens, inspired by her alluring delivery and vibrant personality.

“I wasn’t the one who thought of it. It was the netizens who gave me that name,” she shared in a one-on-one interview.

TitaMax, inspired by the video streaming site Vivamax (now VMX), embodies the same sexy and provocative vibe the platform is known for.

“Our love stories, paired with my alluring outfits and delivery of lines, made audiences feel like they were listening to Vivamax, based on their comments. I’ve embraced that moniker ever since,” she recounted.

“You know you’re effective when your listeners give you a name. It feels good because it validates my hard work,” she added.

The morning’s sultry siren, whose real name is Aileen Lara, was once a private school teacher doing freelance work on the side.

A fan of radio, she grew up listening to jocks like Nicole Hyala, Chris Tsuper, and Chico Loco, which made her dream of being in their position one day.

Her radio journey began at 30 after visiting a radio booth.

“On my birthday, my friends and I went to see Papa Jack. I was so amazed and got carried away talking. Noticing my excitement, he asked me to record my voice,” she recalled.

She didn’t take it seriously. When asked to read a newspaper column, she couldn’t stop laughing.

“I kept laughing, thinking he was joking. I didn’t realize they had saved and sent my recording,” she said.

Two weeks later, management called her back to start her radio career.

“I was in the middle of the school year, torn about whether to accept the offer. But thinking this might be a once-in-a-lifetime chance, I decided to switch careers. I just had to finish the academic year first,” she shared.

Though happy with her image, Tanya Chinita still sees herself as “sexy” while entertaining listeners on-air and online.

“Years from now, I’ll still look and sound sexy! I want to stay on the radio until my last breath. I’ll pour my heart into this profession while I’m still here,” she said.

She has also lent her voice to AM radio dramas and believes she can do more—like reading the news.

“I’ve dreamed about that for a while. I think I could fit into that role,” she expressed.
