Videos and clips from the Incognito media conference on Nov. 29 at the Dolphy Theater in ABS-CBN headquarters in Quezon City have seen a sudden resurgence in views following the alleged “cheating scandal” involving Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings.
The controversy turned social media users into self-proclaimed legal and relationship experts, making the event the hot topic of the moment.
In the highly anticipated action-packed series, which will air on different platforms, Maris and Anthony join Daniel Padilla, who takes on a bold new character as an action hero.
At the conference, Anthony shared his excitement about returning to the screen with Maris.
“When I first read the script, it seemed okay—it still had glimpses of the lighthearted SnoRene vibe. Not too much, but the fun element was still there. I knew I’d be working with Maris again, and I’ve always enjoyed collaborating with her,” Anthony said in the vernacular.
Maris admitted feeling pressured to work on the series since her character is required to be physically fit to perform the action sequences demanded by the storyline.
“I’m super happy to work with Anthony again,” Maris said. “When we found out it was an action project, we were excited. But there’s pressure because I’ve never done action before. This required intense training.”
“We’re happy because the scenes we did together were funny. They’re really entertaining. I’m excited to work with him again,” she went on.

into action
Meanwhile, Daniel Padilla steps outside his usual genre with Incognito, his comeback series that also stars Richard Gutierrez, Ian Veneracion, Baron Geisler, and Kaila Estrada.
At the same event, Daniel explained what drew him to the project.
“When I first heard about the story, I was immediately intrigued by the private military contractor storyline. I expressed my enthusiasm, saying it was a compelling concept. Once I learned about the cast, I became even more excited, as it seemed like a refreshing mix compared to my usual genre,” the 29-year-old actor shared.
The cast underwent rigorous training over four months, mastering martial arts, Muay Thai, tactical combat, and war games to prepare for their roles.
“I’m proud of what we’ve done as a group. I’m excited for my dad to see this. I think I did well in this one,” he said.
Director Lester Ong and Star Creatives’ business unit head Des De Guzman gave a glimpse of what viewers can expect from the series.
According to them, the story centers on seven people battling personal issues and looking for a second chance in life. Their paths intersect as they engage in high-stakes missions against a common foe.
“This is a story about seven individuals going through many challenges in their lives. This is the time of their journey when they’re aspiring for a second chance,” the director explained.
Incognito premieres on Netflix on Jan. 17, 2025, with subsequent releases on Kapamilya platforms: iWantTFC on Jan. 18 and Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, TV5, and A2Z starting Jan. 20, 2025.
