A sequel to the 2006 comedy film The Devil Wears Prada is in the works, 18 years after the original’s release.

Multiple outlets, including Puck and Variety, reported that both Meryl Streep, who brought the icy editor Miranda Priestly to life, and Emily Blunt, who played her assistant Emily Charlton, are on board to reprise their roles. Meanwhile, Anne Hathaway’s involvement remains unconfirmed, despite her character’s importance in the original story.

Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, who penned the first film, is also returning and is said to have played a key role in securing Streep’s participation.

According to reports, the new film will explore the challenges facing the fashion magazine industry in the digital age. Meryl’s Miranda Priestly will deal with the tough times of the magazine industry after the 2000s. She will have to compete with her old assistant, Emily, who is now a big executive at a luxury fashion company. Miranda will need advertising money from Emily’s company.

Details about the release date and the full cast are still under wraps.
