The highly-anticipated Leo Almodal’s first solo fashion show proved to be a grand showcase of the Filipino-icon designer’s breathtaking masterpieces, held June 22 at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila, in Parañaque City.
Almodal’s Solo Fashion Show, presented by Aura Events Management, Inc., featured a spectacular 65-piece, nature-inspired collection.
Almodal brought to Okada Manila’s runway beauty queens Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, Miss Universe-Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados, Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell, Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne, Miss Earth Air 2023 Yllana Marie Aduana, Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2019 Emma Marie Tiglao, Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez, Reina Hispanoamericana Philippines 2022 Ingrid Sta. Maria, former Miss Charm Philippines 2024 Krishna Marie Gravidez, and Miss Universe Philippines 2011 Shamcey Supsup-Lee.
Celebrities also shone in Almodal’s creations including Max Collins, Sanya Lopez, Ara Mina, Arci Muñoz, Herlene Budol, and Drag Race PH winner Katkat.
Almodal’ solo fashion show was graced by Philippine Ambassador of Fashion Renee Salud.

Japan-based Filipinas vie for Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe title
Three Filipinas, married to Japanese citizens, are competing in Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe 2024 pageant, being held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, with the finals set on July 6. They are Lyn Nakamura – Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe International Phil-Japan 2024; Jocelyn Shiraho – Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe International Tokyo 2024; and Helen Ishino – Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe International Japan 2024.
Nakamura, Shiraho, and Ishino, who were appointed by Myla Villagonzalo-Tsutaichi, CEO/Founder of Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Japan, will attempt to succeed the reigning Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe 2023, Marivel Canillo-Kawajiri. The Philippines’ Aida Patana won in the pageant’s 4th edition.
Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe 2024, now on its 6th edition, is a Malaysia-based international competition, organized by Baq Arfha, founder of the MMMTAU organization.
