It was a night of glitz and glamour at the 3rd Global Trends Business Leaders Awards 2024, held recently at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque.
The event recognized industry stalwarts and business leaders who have devoted their time to helping advance global trends in sustainability. The event was presented by Aura Events Management, headed by chairman and founder Bennilyn Amigo-Molina.
The ceremony was filled with inspiration and a shared vision for a brighter future and was dedicated to the beneficiary foundations including God’s Provision Foundation, Inc., Bags of Hope, and God’s Angel Little Miracle.
A highlight of the show was a Billboard Grand Red Carpet Walk which will have an exclusive appearance on the iconic Times Square Billboard in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, USA.
Beauty queens honored were Miss International 2023 3rd runner-up Nicole Borromeo (Woman of Global Significance), Miss Environment International 2023 Shannon Robinson (Global Leader of Excellence in Environmental Philanthropy), Miss Tourism Metropolitan International 2023 Jeanette Reyes (Outstanding Advocate for Sustainable Tourism and Cultural Development), Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray (Global Icon in Pageantry and Outstanding Advocate for Women and Children’s Rights), Miss Chinese World 2023 Anie Uson Chen (Notable Icon of Women Excellence and Empowerment), Miss Eco International Philippines 2024 Chantal Elise Schmidt (Remarkable Personality in Fashion and Modeling), and the Mrs. Philippines International Organization (Exemplary Advocate for Women Excellence).
Celebrities recipients included Yasser Marta (Emerging TV Personality of the Year), Faith de Silva (Promising Actress and Female Host of the Year), Rocco Nacino (Remarkable Acting Craftsmanship), Beauty Gonzalez (Outstanding TV Actress of the Year), Ruru Madrid (Outstanding TV Actor of the Year), Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera (Supreme Icons of Philippine TV and Movies), Vice Ganda (Global Excellence in Entertainment), and Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon (Noontime Entertainment Vanguard Award).
In fashion, Renee Salud (Global Excellence in the Philippine Fashion Industry) and Leo Almodal (Global Eminence in Fashion Designing) were honored. This writer was awarded Remarkable Media Personality of the Year (for Manila Standard).
