Actors Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola are getting married again today, more than two years after they tied the knot via a civil ceremony in a luxury health and wellness resort in Batangas.
In an interview with Manila Standard Entertainment, the 31-year-old mother-of-one described the event as “intimate” and mentioned it was Luis’s idea to exchange vows again, this time in a church.
“He said, ‘I want you to have your wedding of your dreams, with your family and with the Lord.’ Because when we did our civil wedding in 2021, my family wasn’t there yet.”
Jessy is also excited that their daughter, Isabella Rose, will be able to participate in the ceremony.
“She’s a little bride, and I’m very excited. And she’s already walking, I hope she can walk down the aisle.”
Asked about the preparations, Jessy said that she’s just chill about it and lets the wedding planner handle everything.
“I’m a ‘bridechilla.’ I let my wedding coordinator, Amanda Tirol, do what they think is good for the wedding. Everything is coming together, so I’m just happy,” she added.
Jessy and Luis dated for five years before getting married in a civil wedding at The Farm in San Benito, Batangas, on Feb. 21, 2021.
Jessy gave birth to Isabella Rose on Dec. 28, 2022.
Our interview with Jessy took place on Feb. 3 during her first public appearance as a celebrity. She was introduced as the face of Beauty Bunny at the Watsons Health Expo 2024.
“Yes, I really missed it, especially this one,” she said, referring to the ambush interview with her.
