Taylor Swift won big at the recent MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) after she bagged four awards: Best Artist, Best Pop, Best Video, and Best Longform Video for All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).

British singer Rita Ora and her husband Taika Waititi hosted the MTV EMAs at the PSD Bank Dome, Düsseldorf, Germany, on November 13.

“I am so blown away. You have no idea how much it means to me to get to do this as a career, so I just wanted to say, personally, from me to you: The fact that you have done what you’ve done. Supporting that album [Midnights], being excited about that album, and loving it…there’s not a single moment I take that for granted. I love you so much. I can’t believe I get to do this as a job. It’s all because of you. Thank you, so, so much,” Swift said during her Best Artist acceptance speech.

Swift made a surprise appearance on the red carpet wearing a black bodysuit covered by a sheer high-waisted skirt adorned with emerald stones, which she wore when she accepted the award for Best Longform Video for her short film “All Too Well.”

“This was the first short film I’ve made, and I felt like I learned so much about how making film could be a natural extension of my storytelling, just like songwriting,” she added. The singer-songwriter also thanked Sadie Sink and Dylan O’Brien, who starred in the music video, for believing and trusting her with their talents.

Later on, at the awards, Swift changed into a black and sparkly-silver mini dress, which she wore as she accepted three more awards, including the Best Pop award, “You’re the reason I’m employed,” she said to the fans.

Other winners from the MTV EMAs were Nicki Minaj for her viral hit single “Super Freaky Girl,” which received Best Song, Harry Styles for “Best Live,” and Sam Smith with Kim Petras won the Video For Good award for their song “Unholy.”

K-pop idols also won awards, such as LISA (Best K-Pop), BTS (Biggest Fans), SEVENTEEN (Best New and Best PUSH), and BLACKPINK (Best Metaverse performance).
