It was clearly ahead of its counterparts’ net reach with TV5’s 6.1 percent and A2Z/Kapamilya Channel’s 4.2 percent.

Ang Inagurasyon: The GMA News and Public Affairs Special Coverage also ruled in National Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) with a combined people net reach of 21.3 percent.

Online, GMA News’ livestream of the inauguration was ahead of competition, earning 1 million views on its Facebook page and 1.5 million views on GMA News’ YouTube channel.

For inauguration day, GMA News accounts were the most viewed Philippine news pages, with 10.7 million video views on Facebook and 4.8 million video views on YouTube, according to data from Tubular Labs. ABS-CBN News had 6.2 million views on Facebook and 1.9 million views on YouTube.

Ang Inagurasyon: The GMA News and Public Affairs Special Coverage was anchored by award-winning broadcast journalists Pia Arcangel and Atom Araullo. Following the inauguration rites of President Marcos, GMA’s primetime newscast 24 Oras and late-night news program Saksi continued to provide highlights of the event as well as the biggest news in and out of the National Museum.

On GMA’s second free-to-air channel, GTV, Filipinos were likewise informed through its various news programs. Dobol B TV extended its airtime to give viewers the latest updates leading to the inauguration rites. Balitanghali, Dapat Alam Mo! and State of the Nation continued giving a run-down of what took place earlier that day.

Radio listeners were also able to get the latest updates with GMA Network’s flagship AM radio station Super Radyo DZBB 594khz and its Super Radyo stations nationwide delivering the biggest news related to the President’s inauguration beginning at 5:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, the network’s regional arm, GMA Regional TV (RTV), kept Kapuso in the regions well-informed and updated via Ang Inagurasyon: The GMA Regional TV Special Coverage.

GMA RTV aired the special coverage on its award-winning local newscasts: GMA Regional TV Balitang Amianan, GMA Regional TV Balitang Bicolandia, GMA Regional TV Balitang Southern Tagalog, GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak, GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas, GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, and its national newscast GMA Regional TV News.
