Expect nothing less than exciting activities and events this month at Shangri-La Plaza as it celebrates its 25th anniversary with a line-up of great performances, international films, and a beauty and wellness fair for its mall guests. 

At 6:30 p.m. tonigth, the East Atrium plays host to Songs for the Soul with Up Dharma Down. Up Dharma Down, the local “it” band that has enjoyed global recognition, is performing a repertoire of hits as a tribute to the 10th anniversary of the Silent Film Festival. The band is also performing the musical score of the German film Der Letzte Mann, one of the many must-watch films at the famed film festival at the Shang Cineplex. 

 Alternative and indie act Up Dharma Down will perform a repertoire of hits tonight at the East Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza

Shang invites you to pay more attention to overall wellness in A Heart for Health: A Beauty and Wellness Fair at the East Atrium, Aug. 18 to 21. Browse the latest offers and services of participating brands including Beauty Bar, Belo Medical Center, The Body Shop, Botanifique, Bowmanbear Barber Shop, Certified Calm, Crabtree and Evelyn, Detoxify Bar, Headzone, Healthy Options, JNA Dance & Fitness Center, Lush, Nail Spa, Rustan’s Department Store, and Scents & Sensibilities. Soon to open stores such as Ride Revolution and Skin 101 are joining will be present during the four-day fair as well. Also, get the chance to learn fitness secrets, skin care and make-up tips, and more during the fair’s scheduled workshops.

From Aug.25 to 28, the anticipated Silent Film Festival holds its 10th anniversary run, preparing a grand celebration with the screening of nine renowned films accompanied live by top local acts including Ely Buendia, Basti Artadi, and Up Dharma Down. The participating countries are also enriching this year’s program with lectures and a round table discussion on Silent Cinema, as well as an exhibit that showcases the festival’s rich and unique history, opening on Aug. 16 at the Grand Atrium.   

Finally, catch A Rhythmic Weekend with the Brass Munkeys at the East Atrium on Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. as the band known for their animated performances and lively jazz and blues music is sure to put on an amazing show for mall guests.
