The arrogance displayed by NGCP seems un-Filipino; true Filipinos admit fault and strive to fix it. They are accountable and responsible, respecting their leaders.
Despite the State Grid’s 40 percent stake, the controlling 60 percent belongs to Filipino companies.
However, experts warn of China’s ability to dominate the Philippines’ electrical grid through NGCP.
In 2023, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. contemplates using the Maharlika Wealth Fund to acquire China’s 40 percent ownership, allaying public fears of Chinese interference.
Yet, as this incident unfolds, NGCP aligns with Chinese authorities who harass Filipino fishermen: arrogant, disrespectful, and misleading.
NGCP positions itself as the right hand of Chinese moguls, its Filipino executives turned into puppets to infiltrate and exploit the industry—a well-orchestrated Chinese puppetry in the shadows.
